GU, San Sebastián

GU is a brand-new restaurant, cocktail bar and nightclub located at the second floor of the historic Real Club Náutico in San Sebastián - an emblematic building based in rationalism architecture style, which reproduces a morred ship. It was built in 1929 by the architects José Manuel Aizpurua and Joaquín Labayen. Being one of the most important Spanish example of Modern Architecture, the building was declared "Site of Cultural Interest" in the "Monument" category.

Recently the building was renovated, by the Architectural Studio Jose Angel Medina Murua, respecting its origins.

To illuminate and create different lighting scenes, flexible strips Linear Flex® RGB by Grupo MCI was installed at the ceiling in order to provide indirect light and high performance. GU is a space where gastronomy, music, light and architecture coexist in a unique setting, and where customers can enjoy the best views of the Bay of La Concha in San Sebastian, through the spectacular windows that surrounds the building and which provides plenty of light.
