SLV offers you a 5 years warranty 16/05/2018

SLV extends the legal warranty. From the 05th of May 2018 onwards, SLV offers a 5-year voluntary warranty on the current SLV product portfolio (as respectively available from 2018 onwards). Sustainability and high-end production are at the heart of our concerns resulting in this voluntary offer free of charge. The warranty is valid from the date of the invoice onwards.

Is the 5-year warranty a full warranty?
After determining a warranty case, it is SLV's decision as to whether to repair the defective product or provide an adequate replacement.

What damage is covered by the warranty?
Material, structural and production faults are covered.

Which products are covered by the warranty?
The warranty relates to all luminaires from the 2018 portfolio onwards.

Which products are excluded - and why?
Conventional lamps and LED retrofits, LED strips and light bars, operating devices which are not fixed installations (drivers, power supplies and transformers), components and accessories, reduced-price goods (promotion list) and custom products and merchandise are excluded from the warranty for natural reasons or because of the state of technology. Particularly in the case of merchandise, the quality of these products is not the responsibility of SLV, meaning that no warranty can be given.

Are there certain defects or wearing parts which are excluded from the warranty?
Particularly damage which is not the responsibility of SLV is excluded from the warranty, e.g. improper use, improper installation, Acts of God or damage caused by natural conditions such as wear, ageing of plastic parts and certain luminosity reductions. All exclusion reasons can be found in the warranty conditions.
