Underpasses in Tangier & Tetouan 04/07/2017

Grupo MCI has been responsible for the illumination of 3 underpasses, 2 of them in Tangier "Tremies Central Latière and Marjane" and one in Tetouan "Tremie Kuelma".

The main reason to illuminate these three underpasses is to ensure safety and visibility for drivers, specially during day time, when there is a strong contrast between the brightness inside and outside of the road tunnels.

The Square Grazer® 40 LEDs 4000K is the floodlight chosen to illuminate the underpasses. A LED source has been selected due to its balance between long life, efficiency and chromatic reproduction, and as an optimum source of light to use in exterior spaces. A total of 471 projectors have been installed.

The contrast between the neutral white LED light (4000K) in the underpasses, and the orange lights of the sodium vapor (SBP) street light on the floor road, helps to indicate the existence of these underpasses.

Another goal of the project was to illuminate at the same time the road and the walls in order to highlight their decorative graphic elements.
